You think the only people who are people
Are the people who look and think like you
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger
You’ll learn things you never knew, you never knewHave you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?(from Pocahontas, lyrics by Judy Kuhn)
After the first click, I felt transported to the movie “Pocahontas”, and Paloma really embodied the princess. It was all very accidental, but it’s so great when things work out better than expected.
With the current state of the world, we could really learn from these lyrics. Walk a little bit in someone else’s shoes and find out that we really are not that different from each other.
